Attendance:

Cheri Adams (Child Care Resource Service), Felicia Gooler (DSC), Cherylanda Trice (Crisis Nursery), Amy Santos (U of I Special Ed), Mary Anne Wilson (Mental Health Center), Christy Lee (Parent co-chair), Ruth Meyers-Dunnum, Mark Driscoll (Champaign County Mental Health Board ) Brandi Granse (Champaign County Head Start/Early Head Start )

Agency Announcements:

The Crisis Nursery is opening it’s Parent/Child Interaction Group up to the public; flyers were distributed. There are two sessions being offered; one on Thursday afternoons and one on Saturday mid-mornings.

Old Business:

• Child and Family Connections #16 Report – Felicia Gooler distributed statistics for Becci Cline and made the announcement that the state will be producing a transition video and it’s projected distribution date is 2009.
• Starnet training flyers were distributed focusing on transitioning children from Early Intervention into Early Childhood.
• A Family’s Transition Workbook titled, “When I’m 3, Where Will I Be?” was also distributed.

New Business:

• Because of scheduling conflicts the council decided not to extend a special invitation to LEA’s until the February meeting.
• The council voted on changing the meeting time and date due to scheduling conflicts with counsel members. The council decided to change the meeting time and date to the fourth Tuesday of each month from 8:45-9:45. The meeting location will remain the same.

Next meeting will be held on February 26, 2008 at 8:45.
