Agency Announcements

Mary Anne Wilson announced that there is a position, Infant/Parent Educator, open at the Mental Health Center of Champaign County.

Felicia Gooler provided handouts of upcoming trainings sponsored by Developmental Service Center.

Old Business

Becci Cline reported for Child and Family Connections. She distributed statistics for Champaign County. She distributed flyers for upcoming trainings.

The current child find project will reach an estimated 10,000 children in Champaign County. They will receive screening information through their child care providers. We will provide information to Family Child Care Homes, Daycare Centers and other local agencies that provide services to children and families.

New Business:

The council discussed future projects, which includes a campaign to promote better transitions from EI to EC. The council discussed a possible video (DVD) for parents with information regarding transition.

Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2007 from 8:45-9:45 at Mental Health Center of Champaign County at 1801 Fox Dr. in Champaign.
