Agency Announcements

  • Mary-alayne Hughes reminded everyone about the “Sharing A Vision Conference” in October in Oakbrook, IL.
  • Becci Cline announced an upcoming workshop with Dr. Morgan regarding Developmental Therapies. There is also an upcoming workshop on the Vineland Assessment tool as well as the ITSEA (Infant Toddler Social Emotional Assessment).
  • Mark Driscoll passed out information regarding an upcoming committee meeting involving the Champaign County Mental Health Board and The Champaign County Board for Care and Treatment of Persons with a Developmental Disability.
  • Mary Anne Wilson announced that the kindergarten readiness calendars were a huge success and that 1000 more have been ordered. She also announced that the grant resource guides were complete and ready for distribution.
  • Mary Anne Wilson distributed the 2005-2006 Family Resource Guide. She will get an electronic copy to Sue Sullivan so that it can be posted on the birth to 5 website.
  • Sue Sullivan will be working on keeping the birth to 5 council website updated.

Old Business

Minutes from August were approved. Mark Driscoll motioned for approval, Karin Greene seconded.

Becci Cline passes out statistics on referrals for the month of August.

Julie Grygiel updated the council on the plans for the “Buddy Walk”. The council will have an informational table using the display board and passing out information, stickers and magnets. A sign up sheet to man the table was passed around. No one signed up to man the table.

An estimate for the website maintenance has been submitted. The estimate is for $980.00 for 2005-2006. The council approved this expenditure.

New Business

Hollie Ronk passed out last year’s actual budget for the council to review and consider for this years budget.

Committees grouped together to discuss updating their strategic plans. Additional meeting time will be required before final goals can be set. Each committee will update council on progress at the October meeting.

Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for October 20, 2005 from 8:45-9:45 at Mental Health of Champaign County at 1801 Fox Dr.
