Council reviewed minutes. Minutes were approved as presented.

Amy Santos discussed the upcoming Early Intervention Recruiting Seminar that will be held April 5, 2005 from 11-1. Everything is in place and they are hoping for a good turn out.

Becci Cline reported for Child and Family Connections.

  • She reported 26 referrals for the month of February.
  • Champaign County referral/screening results were distributed
  • Champaign County Child Find report was also distributed

The Child Find & Transition Committee reported that they decided that they would need a bigger binder than the one used previously, to hold the information in the transition binder. They will also need money for laminating.

Julie Grygiel motioned to spend $500.00 on these projects. MaryAnn Wilson seconded. No one was opposed. Motion carried.

It was also suggested that the council use the 1" binders we already have for screening information and the "red flag" posters to be given out to physician's offices.

The Public Awareness Committee has no updates at this time.

The Provider Recruitment Committee reported on the upcoming seminar being held on April 5, 2005. The panel speakers are in place and they expect a turn out of about 25-30 people.

They are in need of help with set up and take down if anyone is available to come 30 minutes early and stay 30 minutes late.

The Training Plan Committee stated that the next scheduled presentation is in April and the speaker would talk about augmentative devices.
