Attendance

Agency Announcements

• Carol Carlton made announcements about upcoming child safety seat check-ups and distributed posters.
• Amy Santos reported on Illinois Children's Mental Health Partnership and it's involvement with Voices for Illinois Children.
• Mark Driscoll reported on upcoming seminar at the Carle Forum on March 16, 2005. The topic is Social/Emotional Learning.
• Katie Good reported on upcoming pre-k screenings in St. Joseph and at Unity West.
• Carla Oldham made announcements about upcoming training opportunities through PROUDD as well as passed out flyers regarding the trainings.

Old Business

Council reviewed minutes and made amendments. Minutes with amendments were approved. Mary Anne Wilson approved the motion to accept, Amy Kuka seconded the motion.

Amy Santos discussed the Provider Recruitment Committees plan to host an informational meeting regarding obtaining EI credentials. The Council decided on a date, time and place (April 5, 2005 from 11am-1pm at Windsor Road Christian Church) and also discussed options for panelists. The Council decided lunch would be provided.

Becci Cline reported for Child and Family Connections.

• She reported 24 referrals for the month of January.
• She reported that Provider meetings are taking place and attendance is good.
• She distributed CFC flyers in Spanish.
• Champaign County referral/screening results were distributed.

The Child Find Committee announced that the "Red Flag" posters are finished, but now need to be laminated. Please let someone from this committee know if you are able to get any of these laminated so that they can be distributed. The committee will try to get this posted on the website under the "professional" section.

Mark Driscoll reported that the Child Find Committee has also met regarding the binders and has still not received program information sheets to all that they expected. The committee asks that all agencies return those information sheets to Mark Driscoll or bring them to the March 17th meeting. The committee is also requesting time during the April meeting to put binders together.

New Business

Hollie Ronk reported that the LIC has not used any of their budgeted funds as of this date and reported that all funds need to be used by July 1st. She will ask to be billed for the website through June 31st.

Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for March 17th from 8:30-9:45am at Mental Health Center of Champaign County at 1801 Fox Dr.
