Old Business

  • Council review minutes. Bette Chapman motioned to approve minutes and Brandi Granse seconded. Minutes were approved unanimously.
  • The MOU was passed out, signed by those in attendance, and was handed back to the co-chairs. It was announced an agency can have more than one MOU.
  • The new copies of the Bylaws were handed out. Mark Driscoll briefly discussed them and talked about how they were reviewed at the June meeting and added points in the Vision Statement and made some technical changes. Mark Driscoll motioned to approve the Bylaws and Terry Goode seconded. Bylaws were approved unanimously.
  • Becci Cline and Jim Dentino discussed current issues of CFC. Becci explained how the CFC grant was taken over July 1st and is housed at Crosspoint. She passed out handouts that contain the 10 service coordinators' numbers and addresses as well as flyers for CFC. Any questions can be addressed through the CFC toll free number 1-800-877-1152.
  • Jim Dentino discussed the need for the LIC coordinator. This person would work 7.5 hours a week and acts as an administrative arm to the LIC taking minutes, handling the budget, working at health fairs and basically a liaison between LIC and CFC. The qualifications are completion of high school and an interest in the field. Bette Chapman suggested the council does inner recruiting and the executive committee do the interviewing and then send recommendations on to Crosspoint to hire. The executive committee, which consists of Amy Santos and Sarajane Annin as well as Terry Goode and Mary Anne Wilson who volunteered to help, will also make a job description that will be approved by Crosspoint. The LIC coordinator is to be hired by the next council meeting.
  • Becci Cline handed out fax sheets that can be used in referral process. There will be a copy posted on the Birth-5 Council web site that can be down loaded and printed off.
